Undergraduate Application
In order to help us process your application as efficiently as possible, please ensure all items below have been completed. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that all supporting documents are received by the StFX Admissions Office. Incomplete applications will not be considered. All documents submitted as part of the admissions process become the property of the University and cannot be returned.
- Undergraduate application completed online and application fee payment made.
Upon application, submit transcripts. If your transcript does not show courses currently in progress, submit a course list for the full academic year. Nova Scotia High School Students: provide your Nova Scotia Provincial Student Number on your application for StFX to access your transcripts through MyTranscripts.
Any document (transcript, course list, etc.) you submit must be in PDF format and named as follows:
“Last name, First Name – Student ID Number”Evidence of English proficiency if your first language is not English.
- Accept your admissions offer and secure your seat by paying your confirmation deposit by May 15*. This fee will be credited to your account as part of your tuition payment. Enrollment in several programs at the University is limited so you are urged to reply promptly.
- *Students accepted after May 15, confirm your seat within 30 days of the date on your acceptance letter.
Mature Students Transfer Students Returning Students Non-Degree Students
Mature Students
StFX will require any completed secondary transcripts to review for pre-requisites for the desired program that you have applied to. If you would like suggestions to obtain program pre-requisites, please email @email.
Transfer Students
If you are currently registered in an undergraduate program or have an incomplete undergraduate degree, please submit your final high school transcript as well as any and all post-secondary transcripts.
Returning Students
Students who have attended StFX previously and are returning to continue their studies (Re-Entry). You must receive academic advising prior to registration by emailing our advisors at @email.
- If you have applied to return to StFX in the same program, students will be moved to a non-degree entry. You are asked to meet with Academic Advising and map out academic plans.
- If you have applied to return to StFX to a different program, students will be admitted so long as they have completed (or are in progress) with necessary pre-requisite courses.
Re-Entry on Academic Probation
If you have been admitted on Academic Probation, please read the conditions below:
- You must achieve a minimum average of 55 in April and earn credit for at least 60 percent of the courses in which you are registered to be eligible for further studies. You must also enrol in the APEX program. The form can be found online. You must return the bottom portion of the flyer to the Writing Centre prior to registration.
- As a condition of your acceptance, you must receive academic advising prior to registration. Our academic advisors can be reached at @email.
Non-Degree Students
This information applies to students who are taking credit courses at StFX but are not enrolled in an academic degree program.
Important information
As a non-degree student, a maximum registration of 6 credits will be allowed for spring intersession or summer school. Should you wish to increase this number of credits or become a degree-seeking student at StFX, you will be required to go through the Application to Change Programs process at the discretion of the Dean's office. Forms to request a course overload can be found on MyData.
Bachelor of Education Application
In order to help us process your application as efficiently as possible, please ensure all items below have been completed. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that all supporting documents are received by the StFX Admissions Office. Incomplete applications will not be considered. All documents submitted as part of the admissions process become the property of the University and cannot be returned. - Bachelor of Education application completed online and application fee payment made.
ONE official copy of your transcript from each post-secondary institution attended. Graduates of StFX do not need to provide a copy of their transcript from StFX. Transcripts in a language other than English should be provided in their original language, along with a certified translation to English. Your application will not be reviewed until all transcripts are received.
Any document (transcript, course list, etc.) you submit must be in PDF format and named as follows:

Internationally Educated Nurses - IENs (Continuing and Distance Education)
In order to help us process your application as efficiently as possible, please ensure all items below have been completed. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that all supporting documents are received by the Distance Nursing Department. Incomplete applications will not be considered. All documents submitted as part of the admissions process become the property of the University and cannot be returned.
- Application completed online and non-refundable application fee paid.
- RN Competency Assessment Form from CNO - must include all pages and be attached in PDF form.
Post-Baccalaureate Diploma Application

- Complete Statement of Intent.
