Remarks on Mi'kma'ki10:00am - 10:30am A formal welcome to Mi’kma’ki, the traditional and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaw, with Indigenous Student Advisor, Cynthia Sewell.
International Student Orientation10:45am - 12:00pmBarrick AuditoriumThis session will cover essential information such as on- and off-campus resources, how to use your health insurance, working in Canada, and much more.

Relaxed Start and Community Connections

Residence Check-in12:00pm - 4:00pmKeating CentreStudents who registered for Relaxed Start or Community Connections may check in at the Keating Centre between 12:00pm and 4:00pm. At the check-in, you will receive your Student ID card (if you have submitted a photo in advance), your access to residence, and meet some of the Human Rights and Equity Advisors.
Community Connections3:00pm - 5:00pmVarious LocationsCommunity Connections welcomes incoming Indigenous, Black, International and/or 2SLGBTQIA+ students. The goal of this event is to foster community building within these student groups before Welcome Day and Orientation activities.
Community Connections Dinner5:30pm - 8:00pmMacKay RoomJoin us for a special dinner to continue the connection and a chance to win some prizes!
International Student Orientation

International Student Orientation will take place on January 3rd, 2026 from 9am to 5pm in Mulroney Hall MULH 2032 (breakfast, lunch, and dinner included). This is a mandatory event for all International and Exchange Students and will support your success at StFX, in Antigonish, and in Canada. To register for this event, please submit the linked Survey Form: StFX International Student Orientation (ISO) Registration Form - January 2026.
