How do I find out about getting accepted into the Nursing programs at StFX?

Note: As part of the application process, you should not select any Nursing program as a second choice. If you select Nursing as a second choice, you will not be assessed for Nursing if you are accepted into your first choice program. Always select a Nursing program as your first choice only.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (4-year)
StFX will release offers of admission to Nursing beginning early Fall 2025 for September 2026 entry. The final round of offers will be released in March. All applicants will receive notification of the decision on their application at that time.
LPN to BScN (Distance with In-Person Clinicals and Labs)
Decisions are not released until the application closes on December 10, 2025, and all complete applications are assessed.
Accelerated Nursing
Decisions will be released after transcripts are received and all complete applications are assessed.

How do I withdraw my application for admission?
To withdraw your admission application at any stage in the admission process, please complete the following form: Application Withdraw Form.
I made a mistake on my application - how can I make a change?
If you wish to make changes to your application, please use the following form: Application Change Form.
I was told I need to complete a supplemental application for my program selection, but I don't know where to find them.
All supplemental application forms are now embedded in the admission application that you select.
How do I find out about StFX's scholarship program?

I want to confirm my offer to StFX, how do I do this?
You can log back into the application portal at www.stfx.ca/apply and view your decision letter. From there, you reply to your offer of admission, and pay your confirmation deposit.
What are the conditions of my acceptance as a high school student?

What is a probationary acceptance?
- A probational acceptance means that, although you did not meet all the minimum requirements for admission, we recognize your academic potential. Probationary acceptances are valid for one academic year.
- As a condition of your acceptance, you will be required to take the Academic Program of Excellence at X (APEX). This program is designed to provide you with the tools and support you need to be successful.
- We also suggest that you connect with the Student Success Centre (@email) to assist you with academic writing and with Academic Advising (@email) to come up with a course structure that works for you.
- If your final grades meet all the minimum requirements for admission, you will be removed from probationary acceptance.
